DO YOU ONLY MAKE WEDDING CAKES?

 

Yes, I only take bookings for wedding cakes and a selection of edible wedding favours.  I am no longer taking orders for celebration cakes.

HOW MUCH IS IT TO BOOK?

 

A booking fee of £100 is required to secure your date. This is non-refundable and non-transferable. The balance of your order is required 4 weeks before your wedding date.

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK OUR WEDDING CAKE?

​As soon as you have secured your date and venue, then that is the time to book.  You don't need to know what you want when booking, it is just about securing your date and we will work on the finer details when we do your cake consultation.  As long as you like the style of my work then we can can absolutely create a bespoke design for you.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR WEDDING CAKES COST?

As each cake is bespoke I cost up every design individually.  However, starting prices are noted on Pricing page of my website.

WHEN DO WE BOOK A CONSULTATION? 

 

After your cake order is confirmed we can schedule a date for your wedding cake consultations.  These are by appointment only and are held in my cake studio at home in Broughty Ferry, for a maximum of 2 people.  Or an appointment can be scheduled virtually if you are unable to attend in person.

The consultation is best done around 6 months before your wedding, when you have finalised your colour theme, flowers, decor, guest numbers, etc. You will be able to view some display cakes before we sit down and have a chat about your cake. We will work through design, colours and flavours.  You will also have the chance to sample some yummy cake.

 

CAN WE BOOK A CONSULTATION/CAKE TASTING BEFORE BOOKING?

Absolutely!  Should you decide you would like a consultation prior to booking, this can be done for a small charge of £25, paid at time of booking your consultation date.  This charge is deducted from the balance of your booking fee, should you decide to go ahead and secure your date.  Please note this is for a maximum of 2 people.

CAN WE MAKE ANY CHANGES TO OUR ORDER?

Yes, we can make changes to you order up until 4 weeks before your wedding date. No changes can be made to the order after this time.

DO YOU DELIVER THE CAKE?

​

Yes, I will deliver to your venue and set up your cake on the morning of the wedding.  I deliver to venues across Scotland. Please get in touch for a quote.

 

If you would rather collect your cake, this is an option, however I do not recommend collection of tiered cakes as they are very fragile to transport.

DO YOU OFFER CAKE STAND HIRE?

​

Couples do have the option to hire one of my cake stands on the day of their wedding.  I have a selection of stands available to best showcase your cake.  This option is discussed at the consultation stage.  There is a charge of £25 per stand to hire for up to 3 days, plus a security deposit in case of any loss or damage.  The security deposit will be refunded once you have returned the stand undamaged.

DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN FREE CAKES?

​

'Non Gluten Containing' cakes can be made for those with a gluten intolerance, but not for anyone with a gluten allergy, as my kitchen is not a certified allergy free work space.

DO YOU MAKE VEGAN / DAIRY FREE CAKES?

​

Yes, I have a selection of flavours available for people who are vegan or prefer dairy free cakes.  However, I do not make cakes for anyone with a food allergy.

DO YOU CATER FOR THOSE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES?

​

No, unfortunately I do not have a certified allergen free work space, and therefore cannot make cakes for anyone with food allergies.  I work regularly with dairy, egg, gluten, soy and sometime nuts.
